Dear friends,
We want to take this opportunity to thank each one of you for the many cards, notes, gifts and packages we received over the Christmas holidays. Some of them arrived before Christmas which was encouraging and some of them got here after Christmas which was equally welcome. Being too cheap to buy Christmas decorations, these notes along with a small tree loaned to us by our neighbour (appalled by our lack of decor), gave our home a proper holiday look.

Dear Friends,
We are on mid-term break from classes this week. All the schools in Ireland take the week of October 31st off partially because it is the mid point between the beginning of school and Christmas and partly because of Halloween. This is a huge holiday here. The children trick or treat but the main events are the setting off of fireworks and the building of big bonfires.

Dear Friends,
We are finally in Ireland and appreciate you praying for safety, stamina, and wisdom as we made the commute. All of our flights went well. First we flew from Boise to Chicago then on to Frankfurt Germany where we had a nine hour layover. The trip from Germany to Ireland only took about two hours.

Dear Praying Friends,
Another month has passed putting us that much closer to our planned date of departure. This has been a busy up and down time but, nothing takes God by surprise as we have seen over and over again. Thanks for being faithful to pray.
ITEMS OF PRAISE
1) Our home sale is finally complete (July 11, 2005). All of the details happened at a distance as we finished our training at ABWE headquarters.

Dear Praying Friends,
This month has gone by at a frantic pace so it is good to know that we have people praying faithfully. As an update on how God answers we wanted to share with you the following list.
1) Our financial support is inching toward the finish line. We still need about 10% of both outfit and passage and monthly support moneys. In terms of dollars that translates to be about ($3,000 & $500 respectively).

Dear Support Team,
God has been faithful in answering your prayers in many ways.
- Our meeting schedule for May through July is rapidly filling up. We are looking forward to being in a few new places as well as re-visiting some now familiar places where an interest in Ireland has been expressed.

Dear Prayer Partners,
If you received our last communication, (the hard copy kind) you know that we had several meetings and conferences planned over February and March. As you have prayed we have been blessed by participating in each one of these events. We have made lots of new friends, received instruction & encouragement while seeing our prayer and financial support team grow (financial support additions include four individuals and one church).

Dear Friends in Christ,
Thanks for all of your prayers on behalf of Ireland and our pre-field activities. This letter is a little later in the month than usual, partly because of the holidays and the lack of meetings during that time. It is also late because we have spent much of the end of December and the beginning of January getting our home ready to list with a realtor. This was a daunting task, but an evidence of Gods provision in that we were able to get all the needed repairs and cleaning done. One prayer request therefore is for the sale of our home, we are still by faith preparing for a summer departure to the field.

Dear Friends in Christ,
As we near the end of 2004 we want to express our thanks to each of you who have been praying for and have expressed interest in our ministry to the Republic of Ireland. Your prayers have been answered in many ways. Support has been realized (25 % of our monthly requirements and 35 % of our one time Outfit and Passage costs), thousands of miles have been safely traveled, over 40 churches have allowed us to present our work, and our family is adjusting to the changes that are occurring in their lives.

Dear Prayer Partners,
Since our last e-mail letter we have been on the road, traveling to 9 different churches in 5 weeks. This has given us the chance to share about our desire to carry the truths of the gospel to people in Ireland. We are always excited to see how many individuals can trace their heritage to this land and of the interest there is in the Irish.

Dear Praying Friends,
This is our first attempt at mass e-mail communication, also the first chance to see how well we interpreted the handwriting on our sign up list. Thankfully this group continues to grow as we make friends in many new as well as familiar places.
